Our Story

Rooted in Vision, Growing in Faith since 2002

Celebration International School began as a seed of hope planted by Pastors Tom and Bonnie Deuschle, who envisioned a transformative educational journey where God would be at the center of learning. From humble beginnings, their dream has flourished into Zimbabwe’s premier Christian school, shaping global citizens with a biblical worldview.

A Foundation of Faith and Learning

Our history is deeply intertwined with our commitment to integrating faith into education. We have built a legacy of academic excellence rooted in Christian principles. Every step of our journey reflects a dedication to shaping well-rounded students who are equipped to thrive both spiritually and intellectually

A Legacy of Growth and Transformation

From humble beginnings as Tree of Life Learning Centre to becoming a fully accredited institution, CIS has continuously evolved to meet the needs of its students. With a focus on fostering leadership, service, and global citizenship, we have created a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to excel and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

A Journey of Faith and Growth

In January 2002, Celebration International School opened its doors at Celebration Centre under the name Tree of Life Learning Centre. Operating with just one classroom and 12 students aged 7 to 14, the school adopted the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) model, emphasizing a faith-driven approach to learning.

As the school grew, it evolved into Celebration Learning Centre, reflecting its expanding vision and community impact. By June 2007, the Centre had gained autonomy, forming its own Board of Governors while remaining rooted in the spiritual oversight of Celebration Ministries International. During this time, a pivotal decision was made to transition from the ACE homeschooling curriculum to the teacher-led A Beka Curriculum.

Known for its biblical foundation and academic rigor, A Beka introduced students to core subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Bible, alongside enriching classes in Art, Music, Physical Education, Life Skills, Spanish, and Shona. This curriculum laid the groundwork for the school’s mission to cultivate well-rounded leaders.

In 2015, the school’s academic offerings were further enhanced with the integration of the Bob Jones University (BJU) English curriculum for high school students. Inspired by its alignment with the school’s values, this addition was introduced after exposure to BJU at the ICAA International Conference.

Today, Celebration International School stands as a fully accredited institution under the International Christian Accreditation Association (ICAA) and Oral Roberts University Educational Fellowship (ORUEF), recognized by the Zimbabwe Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.

From a single classroom to a thriving campus, our journey reflects God’s faithfulness and the unwavering commitment to excellence, faith, and service. Celebration International School remains dedicated to empowering students with knowledge, character, and a heart for Christ as they prepare to lead and serve in a global society.
